Room and A/V Setup for Dr. Tony Alessandra

Just as the ambiance in a restaurant enhances the enjoyment of a meal, our room set-up and A/V requests enhance Dr. Alessandra's program for the ultimate benefit and enjoyment of the audience. Please discuss any changes in the Room and A-V Set-Up below with us beforehand. We are flexible. Our only concern is to do the best program that we can do for your group. We do not want to cause you additional work, but sometimes just a little extra effort can mean a great deal to the outcome. The best speech can be sabotaged by an ineffective room set-up.

1. Staging:

• If you're using a stage, try to position the first row of seats within three feet of the stage, if possible.
• If not, use a 'T' shaped stage with the "runway" extending right up to the first row of the audience, if possible. This allows Dr. Alessandra to connect with the audience.
• If a podium is being used for introductions, set it back a few feet from the front of the stage so that Dr. Alessandra can walk in front of it.

2. Lighting:

• People remember more and laugh more in brightness. Dim the screen area (by unscrewing ceiling bulbs), but leave full house lights on during the program. Dr. Alessandra needs to see their faces.
• Dr. Alessandra moves around during his speech and gets close to the audience. If the room has any spotlights in the ceiling, aim them for a general wash of the very front center 15 feet of the stage.
  

3. Audio Visual Materials:

a. Wireless (TIE CLIP ) microphone

b. Dr. Alessandra will bring his own laptop PC -- a Sony VAIO Notebook PCG-505TS -- with his presentation graphics on it--in both PowerPoint and Director. All you need to provide is a screen (see about screen placement below), a computer projection system (such as a Proxima, In-Focus, etc.), the cable to connect the computer projection system to Dr. Alessandra's Sony PC, and a mini-jack cable into the room sound system so that the audio and video clips can play off the Sony PC.

• If you are using front screen projection, please place the screen at front left or right corner of room.
• If you are using rear screen projection, the screen placement is at your discretion.

4. Recording Devices:

Audio/video taping is encouraged WITH PRIOR WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION. If you have a crew on site, taping the presentation can offer many valuable training opportunities.
